# Quickstart

> Create your account, build your Brand Brain in guided setup, choose a plan, connect a channel and publish your first post.

> For the complete documentation index, see [llms.txt](https://docs.conviapro.com/llms.txt).

This page takes you from a new account to your first published post in Convia Pro. Most of the setup happens in guided setup, which saves your progress as you go, so you can stop and pick up again later on any device.

## Before you start

Have these ready if you can:

- **A computer.** Guided setup opens full screen in a desktop browser. It doesn't open on a phone-sized screen.
- **Your podcast's RSS feed URL**, if you have a podcast. Convia uses it to learn about your show and to import your back catalog.
- **Links to things you've made**, such as your LinkedIn profile, a past post or your website.
- **Sign-in details for the social accounts you want to connect**, with the right account type for each, for example a Facebook Page rather than a personal profile. See [Connect your social accounts](https://docs.conviapro.com/docs/connect-social-accounts.md).

## Step 1: Create your account

1. Open the [Convia sign-up page](https://app.conviapro.com/register).
2. Enter your **Full name** and **Work email**, then choose a **Password** and type it again in **Confirm password**.
3. If you came from a link that carries a signup code, the page shows the code so you know it was applied. You can't type a code here: enter it in the plan picker before checkout, under **Have a signup code?** (see [Plans, trials & billing](https://docs.conviapro.com/docs/plans-and-billing.md)).
4. Tick the box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click **Create account**.
5. Open the confirmation email and click the link.

You should land in guided setup (sign in if asked). You don't need payment details to create an account, and every new workspace starts with 75 AI credits to pay for guided setup.

## Step 2: Build your Brand Brain (Milestone 1)

Guided setup is the first milestone, **Configure your brand brain**. It has four steps:

1. **Let's get to know you.** If you have a podcast, turn on **I already have a podcast**, paste your **Podcast RSS feed URL** and click **Import and continue**. Convia imports your existing episodes as drafts while you keep going. Otherwise, click **Continue**.
2. **How should we learn about you?** Pick a source, then click **Build my brand brain**:
   - **Brain dump**: choose the AI assistant you already use, click **Copy prompt**, run the prompt there and paste the answer back.
   - **From your content**: point Convia at your podcast feed, other links (one per line) or documents you upload.
   - **Answer a few questions**: a short form, best if you're starting fresh.

You can add more sources to sharpen the result, or continue.
3. **Here are the hosts we found.** Convia lists the hosts it found in your feed. Add anyone it missed, remove anything that isn't a host (such as a company name), fix the details and star your primary host. Leave **Attach these hosts to my imported episodes** ticked to link them to your imported episodes, then click **Looks good, continue**.
4. **Here's what we've learned about you.** Check your show identity (logo, name, website and description), your brand characteristics, who it's for and your content rules. Edit anything that doesn't sound right, then click **Looks good, continue**.

You should see **Your brand brain is ready**, and Convia adds bonus credits to your workspace for finishing. Only owners and managers can run guided setup. Anyone else who opens it sees **Manager permission required**.

To change any of this later, see [Brand Brain](https://docs.conviapro.com/docs/brand-brain.md).

## Step 3: Choose a plan and start your trial

On the **Your brand brain is ready** screen, click **Choose your plan**. If your signup link included a plan, the button reads **Continue with** that plan instead.

- Plans are listed side by side with monthly and yearly prices. Yearly plans also show the annual amount you'll be billed. Featured plans come first, and others sit behind **View other plans**.
- If a free plan is offered, you can choose it without a card.
- Paid plans start with a free trial of 14 days, unless a signup code gives you more. Where it's available, the trial needs no card, and the plan picker says exactly what will and will not be charged.
- During the trial, a days-remaining badge sits in the header. Click it to open Billing. It turns red when 3 or fewer days remain.

Until you choose a plan, publishing and AI features are paused, but nothing you've made is lost. If you click **Go to dashboard** first, Convia asks you to pick a plan before you can publish or use AI features. For prices, see https://conviapro.com/pricing.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> If a trial ends without a card, your workspace pauses instead of charging you, and you get an email saying so. Nothing is deleted. To restart, add a card with **Update Payment Method**, then choose **I've added a card, restart my subscription**. The price is shown above that button before you press it. See [Plans, trials & billing](https://docs.conviapro.com/docs/plans-and-billing.md).

## Step 4: Get ready to publish (Milestone 2)

The **Getting started** card on your Dashboard shows which milestone you're on. Click **Start** beside **Get ready to publish**:

1. **When do you publish?** Pick the days your show releases and how often, or choose **I publish ad-hoc**. Then set your posting window: the earliest and latest hours your posts may go out.
2. **Your publishing workflow.** Rename, reorder, add or remove the stages an episode moves through.
3. **Connect your channels.** Connect the platforms you publish to. Once a platform is connected, you can set its default posting times so scheduling picks a sensible time for you. Connecting is optional here, and if you connect an account, Convia brings you back to this step afterwards.
4. Click **Finish, claim your 50 credits**.

You should see **You're ready to publish**, with 50 credits added to your workspace. Connecting a brand new TikTok account? Read the warning in [Connect your social accounts](https://docs.conviapro.com/docs/connect-social-accounts.md#add-and-connect-an-account) first.

## Step 5: Upload your content (Milestone 3)

1. Click **Start** beside **Upload your content** on the **Getting started** card.
2. Choose **Upload everything at once** to drop your whole library in one go, or **Organize by episode** to pick or create an episode first.
3. Drop your files. Video becomes clips you can generate posts from. Images, documents and audio files go to your Media Library.
4. On **Your content is in Convia**, check what landed. Under **Transcribe your video**, review the credit estimate and start transcription. It runs in the background, and Convia notifies you as each video finishes.
5. Click **Done**.

A transcript is what lets Convia write posts, find clip-worthy moments and build campaigns from your videos. In this step, audio-only files and documents are stored in your Media Library rather than transcribed or turned into articles.

## Step 6: Publish your first post

1. Click **New** (the plus button) in the header, then **New Post**.
2. In **Select Platform**, pick the platform. Then, in the editor, choose a connected account under **Select Account**.
3. Give the post an **Internal name**. Only your team sees it. On YouTube and Facebook, the **Published title** is the public title.
4. Write in **Post Content**, or click **Write for me**, describe what you want, and let the AI draft the title and text in your brand voice, sized for the platform.
5. Check the preview and the character counter, which turns red if you go over the platform's limit.
6. To publish straight away, open the arrow beside **Schedule** and choose **Publish Now**. To publish later, set the **Schedule Date** and click **Schedule**.

The post shows **Published** or **Scheduled**, or goes to the approval queue first if your workspace requires approval. A channel you added offline can't be scheduled until you connect it.

Want a full content set from one recording? Open an episode and click **Magic Repurpose**, or follow [Get the most from a new episode](https://docs.conviapro.com/docs/maximize-an-episode.md).

## The Getting started card

The **Getting started** card on the Dashboard tracks three milestones: **Configure your brand brain**, **Get ready to publish** and **Upload your content**, each with a **Start** or **Continue** button. Owners and managers see it, and it disappears once all three are done.

To hide it, click the **X** on the card and confirm. It hides for everyone in the workspace. To bring it back, open the launcher (the button with your workspace name at the bottom left) and choose **Getting Started** under **Support**.
