Added
- Finish on YouTube: upload now, privately, and let the video go public at its scheduled time. Convia can put a video on your channel but cannot edit it afterwards, so thumbnails, end screens and a Short's related video have to be added in YouTube Studio, and the video has to be there first. Until now a scheduled clip simply published at its moment, with no window to finish anything. Now it can be uploaded privately in advance and revealed on schedule. Available on a single post from the publish menu and in bulk from your shorts list, and switched on per YouTube account in that account's settings. Nothing changes until you turn it on.
Changed
- Outbound webhooks are paused while we rework them. The feature and its settings page are switched off for now. Nothing else about publishing changes.
- Changing a teammate's role in Manage Members now takes effect everywhere at once, across publishing, guest email and workspace settings.
Improved
- Hashtags and tags now follow one rule everywhere. Each platform keeps its own count, but every generator now gets the same guidance about what a hashtag is for: a term someone would actually search, not your show name or your branding. The same clip used to come back with three hashtags on one path and nine on another, and some paths gave no guidance at all. Any wording you customized yourself for a platform is left exactly as you wrote it.
Fixed
- Your calendar now shows the day a YouTube video is actually set to go public. Videos you scheduled in YouTube Studio were showing their upload date instead, so the post sat on the wrong day.
- Approving a post now does the same thing wherever you approve it. From one of the approval queues, a post with a date could land in a state nothing would ever publish, while approving the same post in the editor scheduled it properly. Approving an already live imported video could also hand it back to be published a second time.
- Bulk clip scheduling now uses the time you pick. Every YouTube post in a batch was going out at 2pm regardless, because the Start and End pickers looked like they set a time and did not. There is now a "Post at" control, and if you have set a posting window in Settings it is used by default.
- Tags your posts generate reach YouTube, which is what makes a video findable in YouTube search.
- Promoting an older episode no longer proposes dates that have already passed. It used to, by default, and generating into a past window published the entire campaign at once on the wrong day. You now get a warning, Generate is blocked, and there is a "Start today instead" option that moves the window forward and keeps its length.
- Rescheduling a YouTube video Convia uploaded now moves it on YouTube too. It used to leave YouTube on the old time.
- Deleting a post now tells you the video stays on YouTube. Convia has no permission to delete a video from your channel, so the message says the video stays there and gives you the link to remove it yourself.
- Clip durations no longer stop appearing for the rest of your session if you change your selection while one is still being read.
- Controls that would have been refused are no longer offered, and emails now report accurately whether they went out.
Security
- Ongoing hardening from our September security review.
