- Finish your YouTube Shorts in YouTube Studio, straight from Convia. Once a YouTube video is uploaded, including one waiting to go public at its scheduled time, its post offers Finish in YouTube Studio, which opens that video's edit page and names the episode to pick as the Short's Related video. YouTube lets you set a Related video only in YouTube Studio, after the upload. The Posts page, an episode's Social Content page, campaign posts, clip details, automation pages, and the calendar's List and Agenda views show a Studio link on every uploaded YouTube post, so you can open several in their own tabs and work through them without opening each post first.
Changed
- The Clips tab has one Add clips menu. Upload video files, add a clip with details, or create clips with OpusClip or Descript from a single menu above your clips. Your clips now start at the top of the page, and you can drop video files anywhere on the list to upload them. OpusClip and Descript progress appears under the heading only while clips are being made.
- Connect OpusClip or Descript without leaving the episode. If your workspace has not added its API key yet, choosing OpusClip or Descript in Add clips asks for the key right there, and the menu is ready to use as soon as the key is checked. These options appear for workspace owners and managers.
- Schedule clips from Social Content. Schedule clips now sits next to Magic Campaign and Create Campaign on an episode's Social Content page, where the campaign it creates is listed. On the Clips tab, select clips and choose Schedule selected to start with them already picked.
- Magic Repurpose starts from the episode header. The Magic Repurpose button sits next to Notify Guests and Comments on every episode page. Until your episode is ready, it opens a checklist of Recording, Final edit and Clips with a link to each step, and Repurpose now unlocks once the final edit is in. The button also shows when a run is paused, running or finished, with Continue and Run again.
- The Recording page shows your episode media one item at a time. Choose Original recording, Final edit or Audio from the list beside it to see that item's video, its length and its upload and Descript actions underneath. Start editing in Descript from Original recording, then bring the edit back with Import from Descript on Final edit. The page opens on the step your episode needs next.
- Thumbnail styles show exactly what they do. Seven styles (Professional, Bold, Minimal, Energetic, Cinematic, Illustrated and Concept) each describe the look they give, and What this style tells the AI shows the full description the AI receives. Customize any style into one saved for your workspace and use it in Thumbnail Studio and the Lab. Saved styles are also listed in Brand Brain under AI Prompts, in place of the old thumbnail stage prompts.
- Draft the idea before you generate. Thumbnail Studio's Idea drafts one concrete concept for your thumbnail from the episode, the style and the people you picked, for free. Try another idea offers a different concept, and Expand my idea turns a rough note into a full description. What the Idea says is followed ahead of the style.
- People in your thumbnails look like their photos. Guests and hosts keep the face, expression, hair, glasses and clothes from the photo you picked. Their pose, expression or clothes change only when your Idea asks for it, and only the Illustrated style draws them as illustrations.
- The text on a thumbnail is exactly what you type. Text on the thumbnail is printed as written, or tick No text for an image without words. The Studio points out text that reads like an instruction, since it would end up on the image.
- Edits keep the original. Edit this thumbnail saves each change as a new version, and the original stays under Previous thumbnails.
- See the prompt behind a thumbnail. Prompt sent to the image model shows the exact text used for the thumbnail on screen, with a Copy button.
Fixed
- An episode you publish to YouTube shows Uploading until the upload finishes, then Published, however long the video takes. A long upload could show as failed while it was still going through, and Try again then uploaded the episode a second time.
- OpusClip clips import in full quality. Clips that OpusClip had not yet rendered in full resolution were landing as low-resolution previews, in small batches as well as large ones. Convia now asks OpusClip to render the full-quality file, waits for it, and imports that. A clip whose render is still in progress when the import finishes is left out and named in the message, so you can import it again in a few minutes rather than receive a low-resolution copy. The Import button shows "Preparing clips in OpusClip" while this happens, which can take a minute or two for a large selection.
- Each platform's writing instructions stay on that platform's posts. When Magic Campaign or Magic Repurpose writes a campaign, text you add to one platform in Social Platform Prompts, such as a sign-off, links or a promo code, now appears only on that platform's posts. Anything you put in the Campaign Brief still applies to every post.
- Credits come back when a thumbnail fails. If generating or editing a thumbnail fails, its credits are returned.
- Square thumbnails stay square. Editing an Instagram or podcast thumbnail no longer returns a wide image, podcast thumbnails preview at their real square shape, and Instagram (Facebook) thumbnails are generated square.
- A new YouTube post starts with its title and description editable, even right after you open a video that is already on YouTube.
- Your clients' portal names your agency. The client portal header shows Produced by and your agency's name under the show's name.
