Added
- Publish Instagram stories from Convia. Choose Story under Publish as on any Instagram post, or set it as a channel default. A story disappears after 24 hours and takes no caption and no first comment, because Instagram shows neither on a story. Instagram allows a story video of up to 60 seconds and 100MB.
- Keep a reel out of your feed. Every Instagram reel has an Also show in feed switch, and each Instagram channel can carry it as a default. Turn it off and the reel appears in the Reels tab but not in your profile grid or your followers' feeds.
- Publish a reel as a trial. A trial reel is shown to people who do not follow you first, and you decide in Instagram later whether to share it with your followers. It is off unless you turn it on for a post, automations included. Instagram requires around 1,000 followers for trials. If your account is not eligible, the reel still publishes as normal.
- Posts awaiting review show their Instagram format. A chip marks a story, a reel kept out of the feed, or a trial reel in the approval queue and on an automation's page, so a post that will publish differently no longer looks like every other reel. YouTube automation posts show their visibility chip there too.
- Clip automations can publish as reels, stories or trial reels, per channel. Each Instagram channel on a clip automation chooses its own format and feed setting, without changing the channel's defaults or any post you write by hand. A channel set to Story only picks clips under 60 seconds, and the eligible-clip count in the editor updates when you switch the format.
- Assistants connected to Convia can set how a post publishes. An AI assistant creating or updating a post through your Convia connection can set the platform's publishing options, such as an Instagram post's format or whether a reel shows in the feed. An option Convia does not recognize is refused with the list it accepts, so the assistant cannot report a setting that was not applied. Choices that need a person's judgment stay with you: TikTok's privacy level and branded-content disclosures, and YouTube's Made for Kids.
Changed
- A failed Descript download can be retried without a new render. When a Descript render finishes but the download into Convia fails, the episode card offers Retry download, which fetches the finished render again rather than starting one, so your Descript account is not billed for a second render. Start a new render sits beside it for when that is what you want. If the render has since expired at Descript, Retry download tells you straight away.
- What's New labels each release by its date. The panel now leads with the date a release shipped rather than a version number.
Improved
- The client portal signup page carries your show's logo. It matches the rest of Convia's sign-in screens, and after signing up your client sees a check-your-email screen rather than the form they just filled in.
- A video that Instagram or Threads refuses comes back with the reason. The publishing log names the file size and what to do next rather than relaying a generic error, and a refused file is no longer shown as waiting for a retry.
- Portrait videos pass the Instagram media check. Reels are 9:16, and Convia's Instagram video check now allows that shape rather than holding video to feed image proportions.
- In Manage Members, Send notification is shown only to workspace owners and managers, who are the people it works for.
Fixed
- Opening a Convia link in a tab left open across an update lands on the page, not on Page not found. Convia reloads itself once to pick up the new version, and the Page not found screen offers Reload and a way back to the dashboard.
- The photo you mark as primary in a guest's or host's gallery is the one shown everywhere. The Guests page, the episode guest picker and the episode's Guests and Hosts panels all follow it. Removing the primary photo promotes the next one, and a guest editing their profile in the portal keeps their photo on every show they appear in.
- A guest's decision to decline profile sharing applies to the show that asked. In your other shows, the same guest can still be invited. The episode Guests panel shows Send Portal Invite and Notify of new content to workspace managers.
- Audience breakdowns arrive for every YouTube channel, including channels connected before the feature launched, and the Audience card shows a waiting state until the first collection has run rather than staying blank.
- Feed sync recognizes episodes imported before daily sync launched, so a sync adds only the episodes that are new.
