Brand Brain

Set up what Convia knows about your show, voice, audience and rules, and see how it shapes every draft the AI writes for you.

Brand Brain is everything Convia Pro knows about your show and how it sounds: your show details, brand voice, audience, content rules, hosts and the material you reuse. Convia's AI reads it whenever it writes for you, so a well-filled Brand Brain means drafts that need less editing. Guided setup builds the first version, and you refine it here.

Where Brand Brain lives

Open the launcher (the button with your workspace name at the bottom left) and choose Brand Brain under Show. The Brand Brain page lists every part, and while you're on one of its pages the sidebar groups them:

Sidebar group Page What it holds Who can open it
Voice & Tone Show Details Show name, description, website, logo and the Brand Kit Everyone in the workspace
Voice & Tone Voice & Tone Brand characteristics, audience, content rules, advanced fields and your websites Owners and managers
Templates Guest Emails The messages guests receive at each step, in your words Owners and managers
Templates Text Snippets Blocks of text you reuse instead of retyping Everyone in the workspace
Templates Tags & Hashtags Your tag vocabulary and reusable tag and hashtag groups Everyone in the workspace
Prompts AI Prompts The instructions behind each kind of generated content, including thumbnail styles Owners and managers
Prompts Social Platform Prompts Per-platform guidance for how posts should read Owners and managers

Your hosts live under Collaboration → Hosts, and owners and managers edit host profiles. Viewers can look at the pages they can open but change nothing.

What Brand Brain holds

Show details

On Show Details, set your Show Name, Show Description, Website and Show Logo (a PNG or JPG of 400×400 px or larger is recommended), then click Save Brand Profile. Your show description is part of what the AI reads.

Voice & Tone

The core of Brand Brain is three fields on Voice & Tone:

Field What to write Example
Brand Characteristics Your brand's personality and key attributes "Professional yet approachable, uses industry terminology, avoids jargon"
Audience Profile Who you're speaking to, your ideal customer. Guided setup calls this "Who it's for" "B2B marketing leaders at mid-size companies"
Content Rules Guidelines the AI must follow "Never use ALL CAPS, always include a call-to-action"

Below them on the same page:

  • Clipping guidance (optional) holds Clipping priorities and Clipping avoidances, used when Convia writes prompts for OpusClip's ClipAnything model. Leave them blank if you don't use OpusClip.
  • Advanced holds structured fields that improve generation when you fill them in: Point of view (the core argument your brand returns to), Topic space (primary topic, adjacent topics, named entities and vocabulary), Goals (growth target, primary platform, timeframe and success definition) and Audience tags (roles, industries, pain points and platforms).
  • Your websites lists the websites you own, with a switch that adds tracking tags to links to them when Convia publishes, and your branded search terms where your plan includes website analytics. See Website analytics.

Click Save Brand Settings at the bottom of the page to keep your changes.

Hosts

Each host profile under Collaboration → Hosts holds the host's identity (name, title or role, bio, email, LinkedIn and website, and photos) and their voice: a Point of view layer, Voice anchors (recurring phrases, sentence patterns, openers and rhetorical moves) and a Track record (publications, talks and notable appearances). Guided setup creates your hosts from your podcast feed and marks one as the primary host.

Brand Kit

The Brand Kit sits on Show Details and appears only if your plan includes it. It stores:

  • Logos: brand logos and wordmarks
  • Templates: layout templates for AI thumbnails, quote cards and infographics
  • Backgrounds: custom background images
  • Music: intro and outro music, stingers and background tracks
  • Video: intro and outro videos, b-roll and brand stingers

Thumbnail Studio and the image generator in the post composer can use these assets. Overlays, Icons, Fonts and Guidelines are temporarily hidden, and anything you uploaded to them earlier is kept. See AI thumbnails.

Reusable material and prompts

  • Text Snippets and Tags & Hashtags are shared across the workspace, so anything a teammate saves is available to everyone, in every editor.
  • AI Prompts holds the prompt templates for generated content and your Thumbnail Styles. Owners and managers can set the Default style Thumbnail Studio starts on, and use Draft a brand look, which writes a thumbnail style from your Brand Brain and Brand Kit for free.
  • Social Platform Prompts change how the AI writes for one platform. Text you add there for one platform, such as a sign-off, links or a promo code, appears only on that platform's posts.

Set up your Brand Brain

In guided setup

Guided setup builds your first Brand Brain from your podcast feed, a brain dump from an AI assistant you already use, your links and documents, or a short form, then asks you to review it. See Quickstart.

Edit it by hand

  1. Open Voice & Tone.
  2. Change any field.
  3. Click Save Brand Settings.

The change is saved as a new version in the history below the form.

Rebuild it from new material

  1. On Voice & Tone, click Rebuild brand brain.
  2. Choose Refine my current brand brain to blend new material with what you already have (recommended), or Start fresh from this paste to build only from the new source.
  3. Add sources the same way as in guided setup: a brain dump, your content or a short form.
  4. Review the result, edit anything, and confirm.

You should see Brand brain rebuilt. Your previous version is saved to history either way. Rebuilding reads your sources with AI, so it uses AI credits, and only owners and managers can do it.

Restore an earlier version

The version history on Voice & Tone lists every saved version with its source: Onboarding, Manual edit or Rebuild. Open a version to see which fields changed, add a label to remember it by, and click Restore to make it the active version again.

How Brand Brain shapes what Convia writes

  • When the AI writes for you, it reads your Brand Characteristics, Audience Profile and Content Rules, along with your show description.
  • Campaign planning and Magic Campaign also read the Advanced fields and your host's voice (bio, point of view, voice anchors and track record), so campaign posts can sound like the person speaking.
  • Write for me in the post composer drafts in your brand voice, for your audience, following your content rules, sized for the platform.
  • Thumbnail ideas are told what your show is about and who watches, so the scene fits your world.
  • Some generation dialogs include a Brand Identity Settings section with checkboxes, so you can leave part of your brand out of a single generation.

For example, if your Brand Characteristics say "Professional but approachable. Uses first-person 'we'. Avoids jargon unless explaining it. Always includes a question to drive engagement", generated posts speak as "we" and end on a question. For the full picture, see How AI uses your brand.
