On this page

Convia Pro is sold as monthly or yearly plans, and every paid plan starts with a free trial. This page explains what each plan includes, how trials work, and how to change, restart or cancel a subscription. For prices, see conviapro.com/pricing.

Who can manage billing

Billing has its own entry, Billing, under Workspace in the launcher. Workspace owners and managers can open it; other roles don't see it. Each workspace has its own subscription, so if you belong to several workspaces, each one has its own plan, trial and invoices.

Compare plans

Convia currently sells three plans: Creator, Professional and Business. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

Other features, such as content automations, Autopilot, Trend Discovery and the Content Generation Lab, are included only on some plans. When a feature isn't on your plan, its entry is hidden or its page shows a locked card with a View plans button.

How plan limits are counted

  • Episodes per month counts episodes you create. Publishing an episode to YouTube doesn't count it again, and episodes brought in from your podcast RSS feed don't count.
  • Posts per day is checked when a post publishes. If a post would go over your limit, it goes back to Draft instead of failing, so you can publish it after the limit resets or after you upgrade.
  • Scheduled queue counts posts that are scheduled, approved or publishing. When the queue is full, the post editor won't schedule more.
  • Connected social accounts counts connected channels only. A channel you added with Add offline doesn't count.
  • Team members is a seat limit. At the limit, Invite Member on Settings → Members is disabled.

Legacy and custom-priced plans

If your plan is no longer sold, Billing shows a Legacy badge. You can keep it as long as you like, but moving to another plan is permanent: a legacy plan can't be bought again.

If your plan has custom pricing, Billing says so. Contact support to change it, so your rate isn't disturbed. Workspaces under an agency or enterprise contract are billed through that contract instead. See Agencies & managed accounts.

Start your free trial

Anyone can sign up without payment details. Guided setup runs first, on a starter pool of 75 AI credits, so you can build your Brand Brain before you choose anything.

  1. Finish guided setup. Convia shows Start your free trial (or Choose your plan if your workspace has already used its trial). Click Choose a Plan.
  2. Pick Monthly or Yearly, then pick a plan. Yearly plans show the annual amount you'll be billed.
  3. If you have a signup code, click Have a signup code? and enter it.
  4. Read the line above the button. It says what's charged today and the date of your first charge, or that no card is needed.
  5. Click Start free trial or Continue to Checkout and complete checkout. You return to Convia and see Subscription Activated!

If a free plan is offered, it appears in the picker. Choose it and click Continue: it applies straight away with no card.

Until you choose a plan, this screen stays in front of the workspace and scheduled posts don't publish. Nothing you created is deleted.

Trial rules

  • Length: 14 days, unless a signup code gives you more.
  • Card: depending on the current offer, the trial starts with or without a card. The plan picker says No credit card required when that applies.
  • One trial per workspace. If your workspace has used its trial, billing starts as soon as you subscribe.
  • Credits: your trial includes your plan's monthly AI credits.
  • Changing plans during the trial charges nothing and keeps the trial running. Your first charge is for the new plan.
  • Paid add-ons end the trial. Adding one at checkout or during the trial starts billing that day. Credit packs don't affect the trial.
  • Reminders: owners and managers see a days-remaining badge in the header, which turns red at 3 days or fewer. Click it to open Billing. Trial reminders, receipts and payment failure notices are emailed to every workspace owner.

Signup codes

A signup code gives you either extra free trial days or a discount, never both. Enter it under Have a signup code? in the plan picker. A code in a signup link you were sent is applied for you. The field tells you right away whether the code is valid. If it isn't valid or has expired, you can continue without it.

A code for extra trial days doesn't apply to a workspace that has already used its trial.

When your trial ends

  • With a card on file, the trial converts to your paid plan and the first payment is taken on the date shown when you started.
  • Without a card, your workspace pauses instead of charging you, and you get an email. Nothing is deleted. See Restart a paused workspace.
  • If you canceled during the trial, it runs to its last day and nothing is charged. Billing shows Cancels on the end date, followed by "will not convert to paid".

Restart a paused workspace

When a workspace can't be used for a billing reason, Convia shows a screen that says why and what to do.

Screen title Why What to do
Start your free trial or Choose your plan No plan chosen yet Click Choose a Plan
Add a payment method to continue The trial ended without a card Add a card, then restart (steps below)
Payment didn't go through A payment failed Click Update Payment Method
Confirm your payment Your bank asked for a confirmation that wasn't completed Click Confirm payment
Welcome back Your subscription ended Click Restart my workspace and choose a plan
Agency Account Paused Your agency's contract is paused Contact your agency's account administrator

To restart after a trial ended without a card:

  1. Click Update Payment Method and add a card in the billing portal.
  2. Back in Convia, read the line above I've added a card, restart my subscription. It shows what restarting charges: your plan's full monthly or yearly price, charged today.
  3. Click I've added a card, restart my subscription. The workspace is available again once the payment goes through.
  4. If your bank asks for confirmation, click Complete payment and finish there.

To pick another plan instead, click Cancel this subscription and choose another plan, then Yes, cancel it and choose another plan. Nothing is charged, and you can choose a plan straight away.

Every paused screen also lets you switch to another workspace you belong to.

Change your plan

  1. Open Billing and click Change Plan.
  2. Pick Monthly or Yearly and a plan, then click Review change.
  3. Read Confirm your plan change. It shows what's charged today, the new recurring amount and the date of the next invoice.
  4. Click Confirm and pay, Confirm change or Schedule change, whichever the dialog offers.

When a plan change takes effect depends on the change:

Change When it applies What's charged
A higher-priced plan, same billing interval Right away Nothing today. A prorated adjustment appears on your next invoice
Monthly to yearly Right away. A new yearly period starts today The yearly price today, less a credit for unused time on your current plan
A cheaper plan, or yearly to monthly At the end of your current billing period. You keep your current features until then Nothing today
Any change during a free trial Right away Nothing. The trial continues

Good to know:

  • If the price changes or the quote expires before you confirm, Convia shows the new amount and asks again.
  • A scheduled change shows a Plan change scheduled banner with Cancel scheduled change. While a change is scheduled, picking a cheaper plan replaces it. To upgrade, cancel the scheduled change first.
  • If you pay for an add-on, cancel the add-on before moving to a cheaper plan, switching between monthly and yearly billing, or moving to a plan that already includes what the add-on gives you.
  • If a cancellation is pending, moving to a higher-priced plan or from monthly to yearly undoes the cancellation, and the subscription renews on the new plan. To move to a cheaper plan instead, undo the cancellation first with Keep my plan (or Reactivate Plan), then change plans.

Buy and cancel add-ons

Add-ons are extras billed on your existing subscription, on the same invoice. The ones on offer are listed under Add-ons on the Billing page, for example Managed Clipping, which creates clips through Convia using your AI credits.

  1. Under Add-ons, click the Add button next to the add-on you want.
  2. Review the exact charge: what's due today and what appears on your next invoice.
  3. Click Confirm and add or Confirm and pay.

Rules for add-ons:

  • During a free trial, adding an add-on ends the trial and starts your paid subscription that day. This can't be undone. Click Keep my trial to back out.
  • With no payment method yet, Convia sends you to checkout to pay for your plan and the add-on together, without the free trial.
  • On a subscription that's set to end, you can't add extras. Reactivate it first.
  • To cancel, click Cancel on the add-on, then Cancel add-on. You keep it until the end of the billing period you've paid for, and its badge reads Ending.

Manage your card and invoices

  • Manage Billing on the Billing page opens the billing portal, where you update the card on file.
  • Billing History lists your invoices with their status. Download each one or open it online. Prorated changes appear as an adjustment on your next invoice, not as a separate charge.
  • Set Up Billing appears if your workspace has a paid plan with no billing behind it yet. Click it to complete checkout.

Cancel your subscription

  1. Open Billing and find Danger Zone.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription and pick a reason under Why are you canceling?
  3. Click Cancel at Period End. Convia may first offer a cheaper plan: click Switch to this plan to move at the end of the period with nothing charged today, or No thanks, cancel anyway.
  4. Billing shows Cancels on and the end date.

What happens next:

  • Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the remaining time.
  • If the subscription is paused or its first payment was never completed, canceling ends it immediately, because nothing more would be billed.
  • When the subscription ends, the workspace moves to the free plan and shows Welcome back until you choose a plan again. Your content is kept, and you can resubscribe at any time.

Changed your mind before the end date? Click Reactivate Plan under Changed your mind?, or Keep my plan in the plan picker.
