How AI uses your brand

See which Brand Brain settings, platform prompts and templates shape every AI draft, what you can change, and where you review drafts before they publish.

Every AI feature in Convia Pro writes from the same source: your Brand Brain, the settings that describe your show, your voice and your audience. This page explains what the AI reads, where you can shape it, and how review keeps you in charge of what goes out. Read it before you set up Brand Brain, or when a draft does not sound like you.

What the AI reads from your Brand Brain

Setting Where How the AI uses it
Show name and description Brand Brain → Show Details Context about what your show is and who it is for
Brand Characteristics Brand Brain → Voice & Tone Your tone, style and personality
Audience Profile Brand Brain → Voice & Tone Who the content speaks to
Content Rules Brand Brain → Voice & Tone What to always include and what to avoid
Advanced fields: Point of view, Topic space, Goals, Audience tags Brand Brain → Voice & Tone Optional structured detail. Magic Campaign and campaign planning read them today
Host details Collaboration → Hosts Magic Campaign and campaign planning write with the speaking host's background and voice
Clipping guidance (optional): Clipping priorities and Clipping avoidances Brand Brain → Voice & Tone Used only to draft the prompt for OpusClip clipping

Alongside your brand, each generation reads the material it is working from: the episode transcript, insights and guests, a clip, an idea, a trend or the post you are writing. Each generation reads your Brand Brain when it runs, so a change to Voice & Tone applies to the next draft. Drafts already written do not change.

An example of brand context at work

With these Brand Characteristics: "Professional but approachable. Uses first-person 'we'. Avoids jargon unless explaining it. Always includes a question to drive engagement."

A generated LinkedIn post reads: "We just wrapped our latest episode on AI marketing trends, and honestly, we learned as much as our guest taught us. The key insight? AI isn't replacing marketers; it's freeing us to do the creative work we love. What's one task you'd love to automate so you can focus on strategy?"

Where your brand shapes AI output

Feature What it takes from your brand
Magic Campaign, and the campaign step of Magic Repurpose Your full Brand Brain, host details and episode details, plus per-platform prompts for each post
Post composer (Write for me, Generate) Brand voice, audience and content rules, sized for the platform you are posting to
Generate with AI from an idea Platform-specific content in your brand voice
Articles and scripts Your templates and brand settings
Trend Discovery Your brand settings and recent episodes, to judge how relevant a trend is
Content Automations Trend drafts use your brand voice plus the automation's prompt guidance and tone. Autopilot captions each clip from its own episode and guests
Thumbnails Drafted thumbnail ideas use what your show is about and who watches. Draft a brand look writes a style from your Brand Brain and Brand Kit
Suggest tags Tags drawn from the vocabulary your workspace already uses

Turn brand settings on or off for one generation

Some Generate with AI buttons, such as those in the article editor, on scripts and when acting on an idea, open AI Generation Settings before they run:

  1. Pick a Prompt Template. Your workspace default is marked (Default).
  2. Under Brand Identity Settings, choose what to include: Use Brand Characteristics, Use Audience Profile and Use Content Rules. All three are ticked by default.
  3. Click Generate.

Untick a box when one generation should ignore part of your brand, for example a piece written for a different audience. The change applies only to that generation.

Shape posts per platform with Social Platform Prompts

Brand Brain → Social Platform Prompts holds the instructions the AI follows for each platform, so a LinkedIn post can read differently from an X post. Each platform has:

  • A System Prompt: the instructions for writing on that platform.
  • Best Practices: platform-specific tips the AI follows.
  • Reset to platform default, to undo your changes.

These prompts are used when Convia writes posts from clips, ideas and campaigns. Text you add for one platform, such as a sign-off, links or a promo code, appears only on that platform's posts. Anything you put in a campaign's Campaign Brief applies to every post in the campaign.

A system prompt can include variables that are filled in for each post:

Variable Filled with
{episode_title}, {episode_number} The episode's title and number
{guest_name}, {guest_title}, {guest_company} The guest's name, title or role, and company
{brand_voice} Your Brand Characteristics
{target_audience} Your Audience Profile
{content_rules} Your Content Rules
{key_themes}, {main_takeaways} The episode's key themes and takeaways
{tags}, {hashtags} The content's tags and the platform's hashtags

Customize templates in AI Prompts

Brand Brain → AI Prompts holds the templates behind each kind of generated content:

Group Templates
Content Analysis Conversation Outline Prompts, Content Description Prompts, Chapter Markers Prompts
Written Content Articles Prompts, Script Prompts
Promotion Webcast Promotion Templates
Visual Thumbnail Styles

You can keep several templates of one kind and mark one as the default. Generations use the default unless you pick another in Prompt Template. An AI assistant connected through MCP can add alternative templates, but it cannot make one the default, so it can never change what your generations use. See MCP tools.

Thumbnail Styles lists the seven built-in styles and any you saved with Customize. Owners and managers can set a Default style, which Thumbnail Studio and the Content Generation Lab start on, and use Draft a brand look to write a style from your Brand Brain and Brand Kit, free, for you to review and save.

Keep your Brand Brain current

  • Guided setup drafts your Brand Brain from what you give it, such as a brain dump, links to content you have made, a short form or your RSS feed. You then review and edit your brand characteristics, audience and content rules.
  • Version history shows how your Brand Brain has changed and where each version came from. You can also rebuild it from scratch; a rebuild starts clean rather than blending with what is there. Your websites under Voice & Tone are not part of these versions, so restoring a version leaves them alone.

See Brand Brain for setup.

What you control, and what stays fixed

You decide:

  • Everything in Brand Brain, the per-platform prompts and the templates.
  • Which brand settings apply to a single generation.
  • The prompt guidance and tone of each trend automation, and how each Autopilot post ends.
  • Your thumbnail styles and default style.
  • On Enterprise plans, which AI text model the workspace uses, under Settings → AI Settings. Other plans use the platform default.

Some things stay fixed whatever the prompt says. Automations and Magic Campaigns keep each caption within its platform's character limit as they write it. Text you type for a thumbnail is printed exactly as written.

Review every AI draft before it publishes

AI output is a starting point. Everything Convia generates is created as a draft that you can edit freely before scheduling or publishing:

  • Magic Repurpose and Magic Campaign create drafts. A campaign post that needs a clip or visual Convia could not supply is held, flagged and given a written brief.
  • No automation publishes on its own. Autopilot drafts always wait in the approval queue, and trend automation drafts wait for a person to approve or schedule them.
  • If your workspace requires approval for social posts, every post goes through the approval queue before it schedules.
  • For a thumbnail, Prompt sent to the image model shows the exact text used.
